Affordable Makeup Storage

I've been wanting to do some changes to my room and that also included better  makeup storage so I thought why not share some ideas with those of you who also want to do the same!

I see so many creative DIY ideas online that I always convince myself I'll try but never do! So I came up with ideas that are easy-peasy but also affordable and widely available to most of us...

All product links will be provided on the page

Tower Drawers

4 Drawer Plastic Tower Storage Argos- £13.99
You can get these from pretty much everywhere

Okay, so I know these aren't exactly the most attractive storage, BUT…they hold a lot.  I brought one of these for temporary purposes (but sometimes temporary becomes a lot longer than expected!). These can be kept out on display if you have no place to hide them away or can be kept under a desk or in a cupboard.

Acrylic Storage

Acrylic 5 Drawer Box- Muji  - £24.95
Lipstick Holder- Amazon/Ebay
Acrylic Toothbrush Holder- Muji - £3.95

Yes, it is a toothbrush holder but it is still good for holding your favourite brushes/ longer products and maybe using one side to store flowers?
Acrylic is great for those of you who want to show off all your favourite products! They can be kept easily organised along with looking really chic on your dressing table.

Letter Holders

Cream Floral Collection Letter Organiser -Dunelm- £3.99
Osco acrylic letter holder-  Ryman- £6.99

I think letter holders are a cute way to store your palettes so they're easily accessible, neat and would look nice alone on your desk

Baskets

Woven Basket  -Tiger Store - £4
Set of 3 storage boxes- SVIRA- Ikea  - £11
Baskets are good for storing inside draws like these ones from IKEA to organise makeup into sections or the woven one that is handy for storing nail polishes

Mini wooden chest of drawers- IKEA

I couldn't find the link to these online but I know they sell them in store and I think they retail around £20. These look pretty once decorated and are helpful for storing smaller products and random bits and bobs

Pencil Pots and Candle Holders

Acrylic Square Bath Pot - MUJI - £2.25
Cream Floral Collection Pen Holder- Dunelm- £1.99
SKURAR Lantern For Block Candle-IKEA- £4.90

You don't need to necessarily need to buy a 'makeup holder' because if you want something a little more decorative, candle holders look lovely as brush holders

De-Potting!
Makeup Palettes From Makup Geek Store  - These were all around $20 (Approx £13)

De-potting is a great way to keep all your favourite lippes or eyeshadows in one place and easy to carry around.

Brush Holders

Large Brush Holder- £14.95

They also have a small one

It's The Little Things!

Cotton Bud holder

I find I'm always using cotton buds/ wool when I’m doing my makeup and they don’t exactly look the tidiest when they’re out on your desk in the packaging they already come in.  A good way to resolve this is purchase a cotton bud storage or even a small pencil pot/candle holder. You can get these online from Amazon/Ebay

MAKE IT LOOK PRETTY!

Beads & Broken Glass

KULÖRT Decoration, sand/stones- IKEA- £1.75
I have these and they look really good in clear brush pots or a vase and sparkle it up a little. And they're affordable!

Lights!

Chain Lights from Ikea- All £12

Why not light up your room or makeup area with some chain lights? They can make such a difference and make it look so much more fancy!

Flowers

 Artificial Flowers- 65p Each

It's completely up to you whether you have real or artificial ones but they always make things look  girly, especially next to your brushes makeup boxes!

I hope that helps you ladies!
