Perversion Mascara

This would probably be the only thing that I could say disappointed me a little but only because I love it so much!

The Perversion Mascara in 'blackest black' as urban decay describe is probably one of the best mascaras I've used. It makes me cry a little inside as the one provided in the NOTR kit is a travel size. Personally, I would have preferred to have a full sized one or a larger slot for the mascara as if I were to re-purchase a full sized one, I would be in a little bit of a pickle trying to get it in.

But moving back on to the good stuff...

What I really love about this is the mascara has a good consistency that isn't too thick or too thin, like many other mascaras I've tried. It applies nicely without any clumping; giving a lovely separated lash look, making your lashes beautiful and naturally fluttery. The brush from the travel size is also the same as the full size.

If there's any one purchase you want to make from N.OT.R, I would definitely recommend Perversion mascara.

UltraNourishing Gloss in Sesso

Before I go into talking about the lipgloss itself, let's talk about the packaging. Urban Decay really do take design seriously. It's beautiful rose gold outer layer has the 'NAKED' name cut into it where you can see the colour of the gloss through the stencil-like writing. I would buy the gloss just for it's classy design.

The gloss itself is rosy with a light shimmer. What I love though is it's sheer, which makes it perfect  to compliment any skin tone. The ultra-nourishing gloss has been created specifically for N.O.T.R and like the rest of Urban Decays glosses, has a consistency that isn't water-thin. Although it can be said this lipgloss is on the thicker side, it doesn't have a horrible gloopy texture.  I like that it does feel somewhat moisturising on my lips and has good staying power.

Unfortunately, Sesso is unavailable to buy on it's own.

24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil- Stag

Along with everything else in the kit, I'm loving this too. Firstly because it glides on super smoothly; Perfect for us weirdos who have ticklish waterlines (how that is possible...I really don't know!). Secondly, I find that whenever I put eyeliner on my waterline, after a while I tend to start looking very panda-like. Stag is one of the first liners that stays on smudge-free.

Brown eyeliner is something I haven't ever used but after using this true brown, I've come to realise it looks beautiful alone or even with heavy eye makeup as it is not too dark. This colour would definitely complement those with an olive or tanned skin tone.

Eyeshadows left to right: Dive, Fix, Resist, Dare, Stun

These rich-in-colour eyeshadows are velvety, smooth and highly pigmented like a true Urban Decay shadow. After purchasing the Vice 3 palette (see review here), I can confidently say I am much more impressed with the quality of these colours. I noticed minimal fallout and once applied, lasts around 6-8 hours.

The only disappointment for me personally would be the range of colour in the shades. Don't get me wrong- these are lovely but 'Resist' and 'Dare'  can look a little similar on the eye. I don't mean bright blues and purples but perhaps a better variety of neutral shades.

The blush included in the NOTR kit is extremly pigmented and is best applied with a light hand and to slowly build up. Before applying this, my main concern was believing it may be too bright on my tanned skin tone, but once applied, it gives a gorgeous natural rosy flushed look.

50/50 is the 6th eyeshadow but I've swatched it with the bronzer and blush as it can very easily be used as a highlight. Another reason to love Urban Decay as they have made 50/50 much larger than the other eyeshadows. However, even though I love a good highlighter, I find I have to be cautious when using this as building up even slightly too much can seem to make my highlighted areas a silvery-chalky white which does not compliment my skin tone well. With the right amount though, this looks lovely and would look even better on lighter-medium skin. For those of you who love a highlight that makes your cheekbones visible from miles away, this probably isn't for you as it's very subtle.

Before I end, let's appreciate the beautifully designed palette. This very abstract tribal print comes in a chrome rose gold exterior that's made of hard plastic and extremely sturdy. It closes with a magnetic lid and what's even better is the lid holds itself once opened. So no matter what position you have it, you won't need to worry about holding it up. Another plus is the huge mirror. I love that Urban Decay haven't wasted any space inside NOTR! The only thing I would say is missing is some space for a small brush- That would make the ultimate 'on the run' palette.

Overall, I'm really liking Urban Decay's Naked On the Run. Its a great option to take on your travels (Maybe not on an every day basis as it's a little big to pop into a standard sized bag) but it has everything you need to top up your makeup or to create a simple glamed up look.
